The Palm Coast Songwriters Festival returns in 2022 with nearly 40 hit songwriters performing more than 125 No. 1 hits during the three-day ticketed festival, April 28-May 1 at Daytona State College’s Palm Coast Amphitheater. Two free launch events, featuring live performances, are scheduled for Thursday, April 28 and Friday, April 29 at the European Village at 101 Palm Harbor Parkway, Palm Coast, and JT’s Seafood Shack, located at 5224 N. Oceanshore Blvd. , in Palm Coast.

Main event headliners include: Jeffrey Steele and Paul Overstreet.

Five-time Grammy nominee Steele who has been recognized by Broadcast Music Inc. for over 65 million streams for hits he has written for a host of artists including Keith Urban, Eric Church, Zac Brown Band, Jimmy Buffett, Montgomery Gentry, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and more. Steele is a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and has been named one of Billboard magazine’s Top Five Writers eight years in a row.

Overstreet wrote and co-wrote 27 of the top 10 songs; including songs for artists like Tanya Tucker, Keith Whitley, Alison Krauss, The Judds, Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood and many more. Notable hits for others include “Love Can Build a Bridge”, “Forever and Ever Amen”, “When You Say Nothing at All”, “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy”, and “Some Beach”. Awards and recognition include the Nashville Songwriters Association Hall of Fame, two Grammys, and BMI Songwriter of the Year five times.

Two good causes

Additionally, PCSF will raise funds for two charities, Gold Star Mentors and the Dolly Parton Imagination/Early Learning Coalition Library for Flagler and Volusia Counties. The Gold Star Mentors will raise funds by auctioning an autographed guitar signed by major artists such as Collin Raye, Billy Currington, Daryl Worley and Sammy Kershaw. Dolly Parton Imagination Library will be raffling off a guitar autographed by all the festival artists. All proceeds from the guitars will go directly to the two charities. A book signing event will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 30 at Daytona State College’s Palm Coast Campus Bookstore, for JT Harding’s new book, “Party Like A Rockstar.” Harding is one of our songwriters performing at the festival; his major hits include “Smile,” by Uncle Kracker; “Somewhere in My Car”, by Keith Urban; “Beers and Sun”, by Darius Rucker; and “Somewhere With You”, by Kenny Chesney.
