Songwriters Festival and Earth, Wind & Fire
Now that the weather is starting to get better, festivals are happening all over the region and the music is the highlight of the week. Saint-Augustin Songwriters Festival
First, from Friday, September 23 through Sunday, September 25, the 5th Annual St. Augustine Songwriters Festival, features free concerts throughout the three days. Pumpkin Festival and Craft Market
It’s definitely fall when the pumpkins come out. This festival, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, at Wesley Wells Farms, features food trucks, local vendors, artisans, bakers and more. It’s family-friendly, with photo opportunities in the sunflower fields and with farm animals. Jerk and curry music festival
Also on Saturday September 24, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., the 5th Annual Jerk and Curry Music Festival will celebrate Caribbean cuisine, culture and music, including live reggae and soca music and dancing, island flavors, a fun zone for kids and even pepper-eating and limbo competitions. Autumn Record Fair
Another music-focused festival, the free St. Augustine Fall Record Fair runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 25 at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, 1340 A1A South, on Anastasia Island. All genres will be represented and over 30,000 music related items including vinyl records, CDs, posters, memorabilia and collectibles will be available for music lovers. Concert Earth, Wind and Fire
Formed in Chicago in 1969, this now legendary R&B group will perform at a 7:30 p.m. concert on Tuesday, September 27 at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, 1340 A1A South. Known for hits such as ‘Shining Star’, ‘September’ and ‘Can’t Hide Love’, they have sold over 90 million records, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time and won them the Grammys.
