Composer Nate Edmondson, who collaborated with Rockefeller Productions on Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: the new musical adaptation on stagewill also contribute songs for the new puppet musical Off-Broadway.

sesame street the musical, the upcoming Off-Broadway stage adaptation of the beloved children’s TV show, will feature new songs from composers Tom Kitt, Helen Park and Nate Edmondson. As previously reported, the world premiere musical from Rockefeller Productions and Sesame Workshop will run from September 8 to November 27 at Theater Row.

Along with new tracks, the show will feature classic songs from the TV series, all sung by Sesame Street characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Grover, Rosita, Bert, Ernie, Oscar the Grouch, The Count, and more – in their original puppet forms. Like the TV show, the musical also promises celebrity guests on Broadway.

Kitt and Park will both be represented on Broadway this season with new shows: almost known and KPOP, respectively. Edmondson previously collaborated with Rockefeller Productions on another recent Off-Broadway puppet production, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh: the new musical adaptation on stage.
