Songwriters 4 Vets Host a Concert at Loggerhead Marinelife Center

Songwriters 4 Vets will be hosting a concert at the Loggerhead Marine Life Center in June where all proceeds will be donated to local Jupiter military veterans. “We have seven songwriters from Nashville. Our star will be Kristian Bush. If you have ‘I didn’t hear Kristian Bush’s name, he was with the band Sugarland. And he’ll be our headliner with six others,” Todd Popke, who helps out with the concert, told WPBF 25 News. Popke lives every day in honor of his late brother, Donald Kevin Popke, who served in the army for more than two decades. His brother died in 2016 due to a distracted driver. “Someone was texting and he was riding his motorcycle. And he loved everything about vets. He’s a 22-year-old military man, so his favorite song was the national anthem. He just always wanted to give back, so what better way for you to know that his legacy continues to donate a wheelchair or help feed a homeless vet,” Popke said. One of the ways to give back is to help organize a concert that would help local veterans. Kristian Bush, Channing Wilson, Patrick Davis, Angie Aparo, Lauren Jenkins, Stevie Woodward and Tom Jackson will perform at the Loggerhead Marinelife Center on June 4 at 7 p.m. “You go away and you fight a war, then you come home, and you’re back home and people pretty much forget about you. So it’s important to support your vets,” Popke said. He had donated wheelchairs to veterans. so they can enjoy the simpler moments in life, like at the beach. “We must continue to support all of these people because without them the world doesn’t work here in the United States,” Popke said. “You’ll have a great time and I hope we do it again next year and you’ll love signing up again and getting another ticket.” For more information on Songwriters 4 Vets, click here.
