COMPOSERS OF BEST MOVIES, TV SERIES AND VIDEO GAMES NAMED FOR 2022 ASCAP COMPOSERS’ CHOICE AWARDS

NEW YORK, February 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Celebrating the music creators behind the best movies, TV shows and video games of the past year, The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) today announced the nominees for the 2022 ASCAP Composers Choice Award. Chosen by ASCAP’s community of composers and songwriters, the winners will be announced as part of the ASCAP Screen Music Awards 2022 during the week of May 2nd.

This year’s nominees will compete in the following categories: Film Music of the Year, Documentary Music of the Year, TV Music of the Year, TV theme of the year and Video game score of yesr.

The ASCAP Composers’ Choice Awards allow composers to recognize the artistic achievements of their peers and were introduced in 2014 as a unique program of its kind among US performing rights organizations. The nominating committee includes composers and industry leaders from film, television and video games. Voting is open to eligible ASCAP members until March 11.
